Coming up just this weekend is the highly anticipated re enactment of the popular play and movie, Grease. Drama regular Drew Johnston, ‘19, elaborated on his role in the play and also the influence that Mrs. Steers has had on the play.

“I play the role of Roger, the clown of the Burger Palace Boys. Most days we only rehearse from 3 to 6, but in the weeks leading up to the show, we usually go from 3 to 9 or sometimes even later.”

Johnston also added, “This play is really fun to act in, the 50s are very carefree and innocent, and this makes it pleasant to immerse yourself in the world.”

On the note of Mrs. Steers’ leadership, Johnston was full of praise for her. “Mrs. Steers is the backbone of the whole play. She pushes us, encourages us, blocks the play, and makes the show what it is.”

So make sure to come out and support Drew and the rest of the cast from April 27 to April 29 in the EGRHS Drama’s production of Grease.
