Boys soccer celebrates win against Grand Rapids South Christian on Tuesday night.

A new conference has got nothing on the East Grand Rapids boys soccer team. Once again they have come out strong this season, so far being undefeated in their conference OK gold. With only losing three of their starters last year they still have a ton of talent to work with.

Last night they beat South Christian 2-0 with impressive goals from Dan Klodzinski ‘17 and Hunter French ‘18. The boys still have lots of goals they want to accomplish this season.

“I feel good but as a team we need to work on coming out stronger in the first half. That and finishing our chances we get on goal are definitely our biggest goals for the rest of the season,” Zach Slade ‘18 said.

Their senior captains Nick Brandstadt and Brady Oosse are leading the way to win that OK gold title. This Thursday they play Christian at Christian at 6:45. Christian, obviously being one of our biggest rivals makes it a very anticipated game. So come out and support your favorite soccer boys.
