As November rolls around, so does girls basketball season, and the EGRHS is looking ahead to a successful season. Coming off a 16-6 record from last year, the team is looking forward to working together as a team, and playing to a victorious season.

After the loss of the leading scoring players on the team, the team has seven returning players and are looking forward to a good season.

“I am really excited for this season! We have the potential to be really good this year and I am excited to get to play again with all the girls” Mary Schumar ‘19 said.

The past 8 months of off-season haven’t been easy for the team. They do lifting and conditioning three times a week leading up to the season in order to get in shape and prepare for their upcoming season.

“We have been training a lot during the off-season. We’ve also competed in two fall ball leagues, and won both of them. We were undefeated in both, so things are looking good for this season” Schumar said.

EGRHS is getting excited for the girls basketball season, and are hoping Schumar and her team can bring home some wins for EGR.
