The East Grand Rapids Girls’ volleyball team is starting the season off on the right foot with a record of 3-0 and is looking forward to putting even more wins under their belt.

The team lost their senior players last year, so the team is young and fresh. They have had to adjust to playing with such a new team, but they are looking forward to going up against tough competitors. Although they have faced some obstacles, they are still confident in their abilities to be successful this season.

“Teams out there will be harder to beat, because we are so young, but I’m confident that we can pull it together and have a successful season,” Huizenga’ 19 said

The team has set some goals this year that they would like to accomplish. They all agreed that communication is something they need to work on, on and off the court. Being able to communicate well on the court will help them in defeating their rival, Grand Rapids Christian High School.

“We hope to beat our rival Christian since we play them multiple times this season,” Allen’ 19 said.

The girls are looking forward to the tough competition Sept. 26 on our home court at 7p.m.

They are looking for a lot of support because it will be a nail biting game.
