Boy’s soccer brief

The Boy’s Soccer Team is exactly where they thought they’d be this far into the season. Coming off of a disappointing end to last season, the team is looking to come back even stronger. And with plenty of both senior experience and young talent on the team, that goal seems very achievable.

“I think that the best part of our team is the people. I feel like this is my second family and it helps the team chemistry out. This year I really feel like everyone plays for each other as a team, which really relaxes and fires people up when game time comes.” Jackson Collins ‘19 said.

With a record of 3-1-2 so far the team definitely has room to improve. However it isn’t time to panic just yet.

“I feel like we started out kinda rough but  eventually we’ll get in our groove and come together as a team to start winning games.” Adam Francis ‘20 said

With the team aiming for the sky they have plenty of goals and lots of time left to achieve them.  One of their main goals is to do something they haven’t for a long time.

“Win districts, because all the years I’ve been on varsity we have lost in the finals and I want to achieve something we’ve never done for my senior year.” Collins ‘19 said.

Coming off of a tough loss against Grand Rapids Christian on the 6th they also have vengeance on their mind.

“I’m looking forward to playing Christian at home so we can finally smack them.” Francis ‘20 said.

With Christian coming here to EGR on October 2nd that game is key in the upcoming season.
