“This is a watercolor painting that I named “Serene”. It is the scene of a street corner in Chicago from a photo I took over the summer a few years ago. It was a very beautiful moment and I actually ran out of a restaurant I was in to take this picture. I wanted to create art similar to the style of Thierry Duval who is a French watercolor artist who paints urban scenes in Europe. So I thought it would be perfect to paint this photo of Chicago. The concept of the piece is about how humans perceive beauty in the world and how they respond to it.”
