Front Porch Profile – Maddie Kelsch ’21

Emma Israels, Staff Writer

“In this period of time, I have finally started decorating my room. I’ve been meaning to do it for a while now and I finally got myself to do it. I have two sides of my room, the “normal” side per se, and the side that is a little funkier. The normal side has a cool tapestry and some of my mom’s old records. While the cool side has some of my favorite pieces, the newest addition being my nativity scene. It is very posh. I have also been trying to come up with a catchphrase to say that leaves an impression. My family has been playing a whole lot of euchre but besides that, we don’t like each other. It is generally my sister and me versus my mom. My dad just kind of hangs around. I honestly don’t have that much homework, but it feels like It because I don’t want to do any of it. I used to do it all the night it was due, but now, I don’t even really do it. Homework has always been the hardest part of school for me, so this blows. Even though there are lots of negatives, the best part about this chaos is that I am unemployed, so I can’t be bullied by 14-year-old at my workplace anymore. “
