Back on ice. The hockey team is back in their element after the longing pause on all winter sports.

So far, the season won two out of their three games. This past Saturday the team, unfortunately, lost to Forest Hills Central 1-4. However, on Feb 24. Another game against FHC is scheduled.

The senior players are especially thrilled to get back on the rink.

“I’m very excited to be back, especially to finally play games after practicing for a while. I’m looking forward to being with the team more and getting ready for the playoffs,” Charlie Fee ‘21 said.

The team was finally able to come back and work on their skills for future games after their season got cut short due to the pandemic one year ago.

This season will definitely be a little different than in past years. Similar to previous sports seasons, players will be given limited tickets to give out to fans. Also, with the delayed start, the winter season will also end later.

Even though the season will go later than normal, the players are excited to be able to play in the end. As the season progresses, fans continue to support the players whether they can be in person or not. The pioneer community is excited to see what the players have in store for this season.
