Apple Inc. has been pumping out a variety of products since the founding of the company in 1976. Anywhere from the Mac to the iPod, Apple produces the highest-end products including the most dominant of them all… the iPhone.
In June of 2007, Steve Jobs released the iPhone 1, an absolute marvel of technology at the time. Since then, reporters and consumers have predicted what the iPhone of the future will look like. We have all pictured a futuristic pair of Tony Stark glasses that projected a variety of screens in front of you.
As of February 2, 2024, Apple did just that. It may be massive, weigh 23 ounces, and have a two hour battery, but the Apple Vision Pro is a revolutionary product and will change the world forever.
Meta has controlled the virtual reality market and there haven’t been any competitors. Ranging from 250$-500$ the typical VR headset experience while unique isn’t groundbreaking in terms of quality and interactiveness. That is exactly where Apple is succeeding.
The quality of their product and the technology used is superior to any other competitors and is unseen outside the commercial market.
With all of the hype and talk about this “revolutionary” product, Charlie Seufert and I tested it ourselves.
To say we were baffled would be a drastic understatement. The technology used is unbelievable and we were both in pure shock. I have used VR headsets before but nothing compared to this experience. The $3500 price tag, while drastic, is semi-understandable as the experience is seamless. Would I buy one… No, but to think this will be the worst VR headset Apple will ever create has me optimistic for the future.
