Welcome to the website for the East Vision, the independent school news organization of East Grand Rapids High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

All content of the website is written and produced solely by the 20 – 30 students in the Journalism II class. The newspaper is operated out of Room 212, and the staff may be reached at (616) 235-7555, ext. 5256. 

Our online edition is updated on a daily basis and is a supplement to our monthly 12 page print edition distributed free to students and faculty. In the 2018-2019 school year, the online edition earned 3 SNO badges: Site Excellence, Excellence in Writing, and Story Page Excellence.

Association Memberships: This publication is a member of the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association (MIPA), the Journalism Education Association (JEA) and the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA). In the past fifteen years, East has received MIPA’s Spartan Award thirteen times, placing it in the Hall of Fame.

Letters to the Editor: Letters to the Editor are encouraged. Letters will be screened for libel, irresponsibility and obscenity. The Editorial Board reserves the right to shorten all letters. Letters should include the signature of the author, and anonymous letters will only be printed at the discretion of the Editorial Board.
