This year’s regional winners of the Scholastic Art and Writing awards were announced in January. The Scholastic Art and Writing awards are a chance for high school youth to submit their visual and written art to be judged be a panel of judges and receive recognition at the regional, state, and even national levels. Anyone from public, private, or homeschool can enter.

From East Grand Rapids, Emmeline Roney ‘19 and Auden Garrard ‘21 were selected as the recipients of silver keys and honorable mentions for their photography and ceramic and glass artwork. Their work was showcased at the Kendall College of Art and Design from February 12 to March 2. An awards ceremony was also held at Fountain Street Church on March 2.
