Goodbye to Nora
What Nora knows about… the Island School! The Vision says goodbye to our favorite columnist today, Nora Verdier, as she sets off for a semester in Eleuthera, Bahamas. But don’t worry, she’ll be updating her blog twice a week during her studies abroad.
Here’s what Nora had to say about the Island school:
“The Island School is a research-intensive, environmentally focused program on the island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas. The goal of the program is to provide an experience for high school students to learn outside a standard four-wall classroom, live sustainably, and develop into agents of change. I decided to apply to the Island School for multiple reasons: one being that all three of my siblings attended the Island School, and after hearing about their amazing experiences and seeing how much they grew as individuals, I realized how amazing of a program the Island School is. I also decided to apply because I wanted to experience a new way of learning.”
